de la Reserva Marina de Galápagos
Este proyecto investiga la presencia de especies marinas introducidas en Galápagos, donde su número ha aumentado 10 veces.
Actualmente hay 53 animales marinos exóticos en el archipiélago, porque ningún lugar es inmune a las invasiones que impactan la biodiversidad y a las comunidades.
Proyecto que permite a la FCD evaluar la diversidad, abundancia y tamaño de las especies de peces, macroinvertebrados y organismos sésiles en la RMG.
El aumento de amenazas como el cambio climático, la pérdida de hábitat, la contaminación y las especies invasoras también afectan estas islas.

Unlike other modes of diving, which rely either on breath-hold or on breathing gas pumped from the surface, scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, usually compressed air,allowing them greater freedom of movement than with an air line or diver’s umbilical and longer underwater endurance than breath-hold. Scuba equipment may be open circuit.
